Pergolas Contract
In charming historical and natural landscapes, the most effective projects are those that are able at the same time to innovate and to restore value to the landscape. At the heart of the small town of Domegge di Cadore, between the small city centre and the majestic Dolomites, the Da Vià Bakery has chosen to give the inhabitants and the tourists the chance to enjoy an amazing view, while tasting sweet treats sheltered by the cosy pergola Opera by Pratic.
Placed in the main square, the refined historical bakery has seen growing its cafeteria and pastry corner, therefore the need to create new covers, where to taste the sweet treats. The limited surface of the indoors, however, required the use of the outdoor space, that was already equipped with a small covering, but unsuitable to accommodate the guests beyond summer season, which, among other things, is characterised by mountain temperatures that are often variable.
Five Pratic bioclimatic modules of different sizes placed side by side have renovated the outdoor spaces, with elegance and respect for tradition. The careful project designed by the dealer of Belluno town evòo has led to the creation of a structure characterised by dynamic and modern geometries: the single “descending” modules follow the oblique profile of the sidewalk, fully exploiting the available space of 63 square meters with an extremely refined result.
Designed to be a shelter from the sun, from rain and cold temperatures, Opera offers to Da Vià Bakery a covering made of aluminium sunshade blades adjustable up to 140 degrees, allowing a pleasant air recirculation. When blades are close instead, the structure guarantees protection against rain and snow – thanks also to a system of gutters integrated into the post profiles. On the perimeter, the wall-mounted pergola is protected by sliding glass walls Slide Glass 60 made of tempered glass, which allow customers to admire the beauty of the surrounding landscape in any season, while small Fix Glass windows connect the modules of different depths.
The incomparable comfort of the new covering, however, is the result of the accessories and the furniture carefully chosen by Evòo closely with Da Vià bakery, able to create a coherence between the indoor and the outdoor space, but also between the pergola space and the natural and architectural landscape of the square.
At sunset, Opera turns on thanks to a double lighting system made of perimeter Led Lines, adjustable in intensity and colour and of warm white Spot lights integrated into the blades.
A cosy atmosphere that preserves its identity, thanks to the choice of cinnamon colour for the pergola aluminium profiles and ecru for blades, but also the use of wood for the furniture and for the covering of the external wall and the flooring, in continuity with the internal one.
That’s exactly the flooring which hides inside the sliding glazing and heating, combined with thermal radiation lamps. In this way, the about forty covers of the bakery can count on a warm and comfortable space, even during the coldest days, where having breakfast or taking a break surrounded by the snow. Not by chance, the pergola has been installed in December, thus showing as of now its extraordinary functionality and elegance, and conquering since day one the bakery customers.
