Any project conceals an extraordinary courage exercise. The courage to choose, to create, to share even facing the uncertainty of the novelty. A virtue that has always enlivened the most ambitious ideas and that – not by chance- has proudly linked Pratic and the Illegio art exhibition for several years now.
For the 20th anniversary of this “miracle of art” the title and the theme of the exhibition could only be “Courage” bringing, until 3 November, 40 extraordinary masterpieces and thousands of international visitors to the small carnic village of just 300 inhabitants.
Among the paintings and the sculptures composing the exhibition, you will also find eleven masterpieces coming from private collections so far inaccessible to the public, together with works by Caravaggio, Bernini, Guercini and Kandinskij. A journey through the most complex moments of human existence, from Greek mythology to Holy Scripture, passing through medieval art and the Risorgimento, up to the great masters of the 20th century.
In the courtyard another “Opera” stands out, a work of courage and vision, represented by the Pratic pergola bearing the same name: the first bioclimatic project of the company that has changed forever the way of imaging the open-air living and the dialogue with the natural elements. Already a reference point of the exhibition, again this year Opera houses inside the bookshop, saving all the visitors the experience of a sheltered and immersive outdoor space, where to breathe the unique beauty of Illegio.
