Indoors and outdoors meet and merge in the unique structure of the pergola. An open but sheltered space, immersed but protected, where you can experience contact with the surrounding landscape without limits: at any time of day or year, even in high temperatures or bad weather.
Thanks to advanced technology and essential design, pergolas make the outdoor area versatile, elegantly extending the surface area of the home and reception areas. Here, the pergola offers a customised and truly sustainable wellness experience, because it can adjust every element of comfort naturally, according to your wishes.
Resistant and renewable, Pratic aluminium pergolas are made to measure for each project so that they adapt with the utmost precision to each architectural context. This means enjoying customised sizes and configurations, but also the opportunity to personalise the structure with a very wide range of colours.
Unlike wooden pergolas, the aluminium models can in fact range from certified, zero environmental impact paint shades, which not only offer a refined aesthetic result but also provide additional protection for the aluminium profiles – outdoor material par excellence – against damage from corrosive agents, bad weather, UV rays and salt.
When choosing the most suitable shade for your needs, a central role is played by the pergola cover, which can be selected from several options.
The pergola collections with sliding fabric offer shelter, but also total openness, thanks to the automated movement that packs the cover. The pergola fabric is made of waterproof, blackout and fireproof PVC, which guarantees excellent weather tightness and effective sun protection. This can then be complemented with an elegant fabric undercover that enhances the aesthetics of the entire structure.
The second category of pergola covering is that of bioclimatic screens, characterised by aluminium sunshade blades. In this case, there are two types of operation: rotation from 0 to 140 degrees distinguishes pergolas with adjustable blades, while a smooth backward sliding motion allows pergolas with retractable blades to open a large window to the sky.
Bioclimatic pergolas are designed to develop sustainable comfort inside: the movement of the cover with adjustable or retractable blades exploits natural elements such as sunlight and wind to regulate lighting, air circulation and temperature.
Automation can be managed by remote control, smartphone and voice command, but also through sensors that detect changes in the weather and command the bioclimatic pergola to open or close the covering, protecting the environment from possible damage and ensuring greater energy savings.
Finally, bioclimatic pergolas are also functional during the cooler seasons: the sunshade blades, when closed, provide superior insulation and shelter from bad weather, as rainwater is channelled into the gutters integrated into the uprights and discharged below the structure.
Protection and insulation of the pergola also come with the insertion of glazing, that is, screens capable of creating genuine winter gardens, bright and panoramic.
By means of a lightweight design with no visible elements, Pratic’s glazed pergolas maintain contact with the outside environment even when closed when the toughened glass panels act as a shelter against rain, wind, noise and UV rays.
Available in sliding (Slide Glass), fixed (Fix Glass) or hinged door (Door Glass) versions, the pergola glazing can also be customised in finishes: transparent, satin, smoked and mirrored – the latter designed to provide ultimate privacy.
A final addition that increases the comfort and functionality of the pergola is that of the perimeter blinds, positioned inside the horizontal profiles of the structure, to be totally invisible when not in use.
Pergolas with perimeter blinds have the advantage of always generating impeccable shading, which is particularly effective at the hottest times of the day, or when the sun is lower and there is a need to soften the intensity of its rays.
At the same time, perimeter pergola blinds are an excellent ally for energy saving if the structure is leaning against a wall and placed to screen a glazed surface.
Wall-mounted pergolas are the most suitable solution for naturally extending the indoor space, without the need for invasive building work. One side of the pergola is leaned against the outer wall of the building, thus requiring only two uprights for the installation of each module.
In cases where the available space is in a niche or between two side walls, the pergola can then be positioned directly inside the opening, without the need for vertical profiles to support it.
One of the ideal uses of pergolas is for terraces and balconies of all sizes.
Shielding the space in height and around the entire perimeter, the balcony pergola offers the opportunity to create a veranda or a real additional room that can be used all year round.
Bars, restaurants and hotels can also take advantage of this option to enhance their panoramic views, which, with terrace pergolas, are thus made available to customers even when the weather would not normally allow it. An advantage that enhances the guest experience and multiplies the number of seats available.
Freestanding pergolas are, of course, also available for freestanding shading projects. They can be positioned on any surface – even uneven ones – thanks to the use of Pratic’s modular Set platform, which uses its compensation system to correct slopes and unevenness, obtaining a perfectly flat surface for the installation of the freestanding pergola.
As in the wall-mounted version, placing side by side of individual modules of the same or different sizes creates made-to-measure configurations, capable of meeting the covering needs of any outdoor environment, even very large ones.
Outdoor space par excellence, the garden holds significant potential, often unexplored due to weather restrictions. Here, freestanding pergolas are ideally suited, converting terraces into cosy open-air living, dining rooms and outdoor kitchens, but also pool houses and areas dedicated to work or training.
Even in the Ho.Re.Ca. sector, garden pergolas ensure great versatility, thanks to elegant and technologically advanced structures that allow guests to enjoy highly immersive experiences.
The areas of use for pergolas extend even further when placed in hotels, where they contribute to responding to the new demands of customers, who are increasingly looking for accommodation experiences linked to the local area.
Perfect for extending the surface area available to the accommodation facility, hotel pergolas optimise the use of space, creating new seating areas for bars and restaurants. At the same time, the comfort and privacy offered by this type of pergola make it possible to enhance the terraces and balconies of suites, but also to create wellness areas, gyms and spas projected onto the surrounding landscape.
