The one that meets the living needs innate to the human being: access to the alternation of light and darkness, panoramic view and protection, contact with nature and exposure to polychromy. These elements perfectly blend in outdoor solar shadings, the natural evolution of that “tree house” we have always sought and that, still today, knows how to put our mind at ease, generating a pervasive wellness.
At Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024, Pratic presents “Open Air Mind”, an exhibition of conceptual works and sunshade solutions, summary of the outcome of five neuroscientific studies carried out from 2018 to date, in collaboration with the Universities of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the IULM of Milan.
The most virtuous journey of knowledge taken in the outdoor industry internationally, investigating the correlations between design and the human brain to understand what the benefits of living under a pergola are and where they arise.
Designed by the Studio Viola, Pratic’s stand reveals the cultural, aesthetic and neuro-cognitive predispositions that have enabled the creation of increasingly advanced outdoor structures, represented at the Salone by the vertical awnings T-Loop and T-Zone, and by the futuristic bioclimatic pergolas Connect and Carrera. Solutions capable of combining functionality, sustainability and design with the heritage of emotions and preferences of which today’s human being has an awareness never reached in history.
A knowledge that Pratic has decided to share through an evocative gallery of works allowing all visitors to get to know and download for free the five neuroscientific researches, from which one unambiguous conclusion emerges: we have been conceived to live outdoors.
