The project – a collaboration between the architect Licia Gaia Sortino and Trame Verdi di Manule Protti – conceived the setting-up of the terraces belonging to a penthouse apartment on the ninth floor, located in the historical district of Brera / Solferino. The wide outdoor space has been conceived with the aim to create different areas to enjoy all year long. In the organization of the external areas, the utmost care was directed to the enhancement of the view: in fact, focus points on city monuments and on the new district Porta Nuova / Porta Garibaldi were created maintaining privacy at the same time.
The result is a real living area, where the bioclimatic pergola Opera found its natural place in the centre, for a surface of 24 square meters. Real protagonist of the location, Opera offers a lounge area from which it is possible to admire the spectacular 360 degree view of Milan skyline.
Air circulation and the natural adjustment of light are possible thanks to the sun-shading blades that rotate up to 140 degrees, guaranteeing the maximum climatic comfort. For a greater protection and a total privacy, Opera is equipped with Zip vertical awnings Raso made of Screen screening fabric. They are placed on the longer sides of the structure and are integrated into its horizontal profiles, which makes them basically invisible once closed. A device that completes the setting with extreme elegance.
The fil rouge of the project is the perfect chromatic balance obtained by skillfully matching the colors of the two main elements of this area: the white color RAL9010 of Opera and the original corten and light blue finishing of the fiberglass flowerpots placed along the whole perimeter of the terrace that give life and rhythm to the perimeter enhancing, at the same time, the formal essentiality of Opera
