Pergolas Contract
What the hotel restaurant La Culla del Lago offers is a cuisine proposal combining flavours from around the world, a lush natural setting and the delightful view of Lake Castel Gandolfo, to be enjoyed under the charming pergola Rialto by Pratic.
The restaurant, located in one of the most beautiful Italian hamlets, overlooks the Lake Albano, also known as Lago di Castel Gandolfo. Its building with antique charm features a wide outdoor space and a truly unique view. An area that the owners intended to make usable all over the year, thus creating harmony between indoors and outdoors.
To realise this project, it was necessary to replace the previous iron pergola with a more stylish and functional solution in line with the sophisticated restaurant, which could also add value to the hotel’s aesthetics. The desire for openness towards the landscape and the need of solar and rain protection has led the choice of Pratic’s Rialto pergolas.
The retractable PVC cover allows shading degree to be adjusted, hence providing complete protection or a total opening over the sky, according to weather conditions and guests’ wishes. It can be easily operated by remote control and its cover is made of a blackout, fire-resistant and waterproof fabric that slides backwards and retracts. When completely closed, the system provides shelter from sun and light rains and allows rainwater to be drained throughout the gutters integrated in the upright profiles. In addition, the lighting chosen provides an intimate and relaxing atmosphere thanks to the recessed lights that emphasise the beauty of the ivory-coloured roof. This colour choice helps to maintain a welcoming and refined ambience even at night.
In partnership with the local dealer Garden Living, three modules of Rialto have been installed combining technical features with the distinctive minimal and refined Pratic design. This has resulted in a well-balanced aesthetic between past and present. Moreover, the structure has been customized with a corten colour enhancing the hotel nuances by recalling nature hues, thus perfectly blending in with its surroundings.
Featuring a supporting profile of only 32 centimetres thick, the pergola Rialto subtly frames the landscape, while providing protection and the feeling of being immersed in nature.
Lastly, heating and cooling systems with two fan coils have been installed on either pergola sides in order to guarantee utmost comfort all year round. This makes the outdoor area a cosy yet functional space, where guests can choose whether to enjoy a breakfast in autumn or a romantic dinner by the lake, at any time of the year.
